This is an interactive class, so be prepared to practice your craft while you are here; everyone will have the opportunity to serve each type of document during the sessions

War stories are an important part of the learning process so we will have 30 minutes dedicated to various situations encountered and questions and answers as to how they were handled, during the second hour of each session

Codes of Civil Procedure (CCP) will be discussed and how they apply to different types of services

Proof of Service – Your part of the Service is not complete until you deliver the signed POS

Examples of Process Serving Agencies making errors and getting sued; don’t think that a $2000 bond covers you for all damages you may cause – it does not.

Tony Klein’s “Guide to Service of Process in California, is the recommended publication for all Registered Process Servers – they can be purchased through the Process Servers Institute ($63.00 psinstitute.com) – it is not mandatory for this series but highly recommended (even if you don’t take the classes).
